Meet John Pecina, MMFT, MBA
I help couples find their way back to each other.
Warm, calm, and active counseling from someone who understands that real relationships carry work, family, history, stress, and hope.

Hi, I'm John
This work is personal to me too
A big part of why I became a marriage and family therapist comes from my own experience in marriage and blended-family life. I have been married and part of a blended family for over 13 years. I know how easy it is for stress, parenting, stepfamily dynamics, work, and everyday life to slowly create distance between two people who still love each other.
I am a husband, dad, and proud grandparent. Outside work, you will usually find me fly fishing or casting for bass at the neighborhood pond.
Work With MeMarriage and blended-family life
A relationship lived, not just studied
I do not bring my life into the room as a formula for yours. I bring the humility of knowing that relationships ask people to keep learning each other through changing seasons. That perspective shapes the grounded, nonjudgmental space I want couples to experience.

The path here
Service, technology, and relationships
John is a U.S. Navy veteran. After his service, he earned an MBA and built a career in healthcare IT. He later became a marriage and family therapist because he wanted to help couples slow down, understand what is happening underneath conflict, and learn how to respond differently.
His background contributes to a style that is both relational and practical: thoughtful enough for the emotions in the room, and active enough to help couples carry the work into daily life.

How John works
Genuine conversation and practical help
John's approach is attachment-based, informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy, and includes narrative therapy. The tone is warm, calm, and active.
Therapy does not have to feel stiff or clinical. You can expect genuine conversation, practical help, and probably some laughter along the way.
John is Christian and can integrate faith when a couple wants it. Faith is never required, and couples of any belief or none are welcome.
